The basic rules of Rummikub are to form sets and runs of tiles to get rid of all the tiles in your hand. The first player to do so wins the round.

Setup

• Shuffle tiles and put them in a bag or spread them out face down on the table
• Each player draws a tile and the player with the highest number starts
• Players take turns clockwise

Gameplay

• Players take turns drawing a tile or playing one or more sets or runs
• A set is three or more tiles of the same number but different colors
• A run is three or more tiles of the same color in numerical order
• Players can manipulate sets and runs by adding tiles to existing sets or rearranging tiles
• Jokers can be used as substitute tiles in sets or runs

Winning

• The first player to play all of their tiles wins the round and declares “Rummikub”
• Players tally their points at the end of each round
