Hello Gillespie Center Community,

My name is Brian Embrey, and I’m thrilled to be joining you as the new Center
Director. From the moment I first learned about the Gillespie Center, I felt a genuine
excitement about becoming part of a place rooted in connection, service, and
community spirit. This is a center with so much opportunity, and I’m grateful for the
chance to help shape its next chapter alongside all of you.

My career has taken me through some incredible experiences — from roles with the
National Park Service, to community‑focused work with YMCA’s, to supporting
individuals and families through Volunteers of America. Each step has strengthened
my belief in the power of community spaces like this one: places where people come
together, support one another, and build something meaningful.

I’m truly excited to get to know each of you, learn your stories, and work together to
make the Gillespie Center an even more vibrant and welcoming place. Thank you for
welcoming me into this wonderful community. I can’t wait for what’s ahead.
