Expectations:

  • Always Act as an Ambassador of the Gillespie Center.
  • Smile and be courteous to all volunteers, employees, members and guests.
  • Act in accordance with Gillespie Values at all times.
  • Reports to the Center Director. Presents to Board of Directors for recommendations and approvals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Main point of contact for maintenance related vendors (Horowitz, Plunketts, Electrician, Plumbing, etc) and ensures that they are providing the right services in a timely manner.
  • Work with vendors pertaining to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Reviews vendor invoices to verify charges.
  • Communicates and escalates in a timely manner to Director on all updates and issues related to building maintenance.
  • Helps with routine maintenance items such as changing light bulbs, check water heaters, vents, etc……
  • Complete informal inspections via checklist bi-annually and report problems, concerns, issues.
  • Change air compressor oil over 4000 hours.
  • Conduct walk-through of property when onsite to look for anomalies that may need attention.
  • Keep Maintenance Log and Binder up to date.
  • Check water softener salt levels on a regular basis.
  • Track all volunteer hours and report them to the Director.
